RCSD Students in grades 4-10 recognized as having talent, good work ethic, above average academic standing and family support, can be recommended by their teacher for Eastman Pathways, an opportunity to study music at Eastman Community Music School (ECMS) through high school. One of Play It Forward's goals is to provide ECMS private lesson support and volunteer mentoring to help students prepare for this audition. Around 83% of students who graduate from the Pathway's Program go on to attend college. We hope to give more young students the skills needed to join this successful program.
Dr. Carl Galland has been working with Selina Smith-Soto on her Pathways audition. We wish her success and look forward to seeing her grow in her instrumental studies!
